Our Story
Inflows was created to give Registered Investment Advisors a trusted place to connect, learn, and grow together. The idea began with a clear need. RIAs play an essential role in the investment advisory profession, yet many work in separate circles without a reliable way to share experience, compare ideas, or build meaningful professional relationships outside of conferences and limited networks. Inflows was built to change that.
We designed a verified community where every member is a Registered Investment Advisor or a registered affiliate, creating a space rooted in trust and clarity. Inside the platform, RIAs exchange insight, explore firm growth opportunities, strengthen practice management and stay informed on the fast-changing issues that shape their work.
What began as a simple idea has grown into a national community representing billions in client assets. RIAs join events, ask questions, share lessons, and find new opportunities for collaboration. Industry contributors add valuable perspective, helping RIAs think more clearly about the future of their practice. Inflows continues to grow because it is designed for RIAs, shaped by their needs, and grounded in authenticity, integrity, and respect for the investment advisory profession. Our Core Team
Iyassu Essayas created Inflows to give Registered Investment Advisors a trusted place to connect, learn, and grow together. With more than seventeen years of experience in the investment world, he has seen how fragmented the advisory space can feel and how rare it is for RIAs to have a community designed specifically for their needs.
His vision for Inflows is clear. Build a verified environment where RIAs exchange insights, strengthen practice management, and stay informed on the fast changing issues that shape their work. Iyassu leads the ongoing development of the platform and works closely with industry contributors, advisors, and thought leaders who help guide the experience for the growing RIA community.
Inflows reflects his commitment to integrity, authenticity, and respect for the investment advisory profession, and it continues to grow through the shared experience of the RIAs who use it every day.
Iyassu serves on the boards of USSIF and Envest Microfinance. He previously served as Director of ESG Research at Parnassus Investments and received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of San Francisco.
